Inspections of matches of the Samara soccer club (FC) Krylya Sovetov after Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev's statements about corruption have been completed. This was announced on December 20 by Pavel Kamantsev, chairman of the referee committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

"The inspection has been completed, we summarize the results. We will provide this analysis to the bodies next Wednesday or Thursday," Match TV quotes Kamantsev as saying.

He also specified that Fedorishchev had every reason to raise the issue, and the information of his source "is worthy of analysis and proceedings".

Earlier, on November 26, Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev told the Russian State Council's commission on sports development that he had learned about the debt of the Krylya Sovetov soccer club worth 36 million rubles to "criminals who are engaged in corruption in the referee corps of Russian soccer." According to him, such a system has been in place for several years. The governor suggested refusing to finance it at the expense of taxpayers.

Fedorishchev then referred the facts of corruption schemes to the police. At the same time, he expressed disappointment that Russian Premier League (RPL) clubs had asked for confirmation and emphasized that he was in favor of "clean sport". Later, on December 4, the Russian Interior Ministry announced the launch of an inspection after Fedorishchev's words.
