In Rostov-on-Don was introduced a high alert regime due to the increased level of air danger. This was reported by the head of the city administration Alexei Logvinenko on Friday, December 20.

"In connection with the increased level of air danger in Rostov-on-Don today at an extraordinary meeting of the Commission on prevention and elimination of emergency situations made a decision to introduce a high alert mode," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Logvinenko noted that all forces of the city link of the unified state system of prevention and elimination of emergencies (RSChS) will work in the emergency response mode from 18:30 on December 20 to 10:00 on December 21.

On the eve of the acting Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar reported that one person was injured during the attack of the region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) due to the fall of fragments of a drone. Before that, he said that an oil products plant caught fire in Novoshakhtinsk after the Ukrainian attack.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
