Unified child allowance will increase by 14.8% in 2025

The single allowance from January 1, 2025 will increase by 14.8%, the average size of the maximum benefit will be over Br17 thousand per month per child. This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov at the meeting of the State Council on the support of families in the Russian Federation on December 20.

"From January 1, 2025 due to the growth of the subsistence minimum, the size of this payment will increase by 14.8%. On average, the size of the maximum allowance will amount to more than 17 thousand per month per child," the minister's words are quoted on the Kremlin's official website.

He also added that a single allowance in Russia receives every third child.

Earlier, on November 1, Kotyakov said that the maximum amount of childcare allowance for a child up to 1.5 years old may reach 97 thousand rubles by 2027. He also noted that in 2025 the maximum amount of payments will increase to Br69 thousand.

The explanatory note to the relevant bill states that in August this year, amendments were already made to the law "On additional measures of state support for families with children".
