Sergey Shishkaryov proposed to solve the problem of staff shortage "for a generation ahead"

With the current demographic situation, the problem of labor shortage that Russia is facing will worsen. Sergey Shishkaryov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Delo Group of Companies, proposed a business solution to this problem, calling on companies to stimulate the birth rate along with the government.

According to the businessman, only through technology and increased labor productivity the existing problem with the shortage of personnel can no longer be solved.

"We need to look at least a generation ahead. Without increasing the birth rate, we will not solve the problem of population reduction, and thus the shortage of personnel. Families should have at least two children, and a large family should become the norm of life," said the founder of Delo Group of Companies.

Speaking at the meeting of the State Council devoted to measures to support families with children, the founder of Delo Group of Companies said that the company has been running its own demographic program for more than two years. "We have formulated our mission as follows: companies should act as a demographic agent of the state - to support, supplement those measures that are already available to families with children," emphasized Sergey Shishkaryov.

The complex of support measures provides, among other things, for granting corporate family capital in the amount of 1 million rubles for the birth of the third and subsequent children of employees. This year other companies have started to introduce similar payments for the birth of a child.

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted corporate practices of supporting families with children. Opening the State Council meeting, he urged employers to take a more active part in solving the problems of the country's demographic agenda.

"Responsible business is already doing such work. It takes care of employees' health, takes into account their family members, provides a social package. A number of companies have gone further and pay corporate family capital to employees at the birth of a child. Such a truly state, mature approach should be supported and encouraged," he emphasized.

The President proposed to exempt corporate family capital up to 1 million rubles from personal income tax (PIT) and insurance contributions. And when charging income tax - to include such expenses of companies in economically justified.
