State Duma deputies should analyze the content of the games and decide together with the government what to do with them. Russian President Vladimir Putin made such a call on December 20 during the final session of the State Council devoted to family support.

The President noted that everything should be done to shield children from the destructive influence of games and other content.

"Attention should be paid to this, and I would ask first of all the deputies of the State Duma to think, analyze and make a proposal, and then together with the government to make the appropriate decision," - said the head of state.

Earlier, on March 13, the Ministry of Economic Development developed a bill on mandatory labeling and classification of video games. It aims to inform players about the peculiarities of the content of games, which will help to ensure the psychological safety of citizens. The initiative introduces a system of marks that will inform whether the game contains scenes or descriptions of cruelty, any kind of violence or profanity.

Later, on October 11, RuStore's lead product manager Alena Samartseva said that games can be useful for children if they are puzzles, strategies or action: they develop memory and teach them to focus - children who like such games are more resistant to distractions than their peers.
