The production of manually driven cars has started at Moskvich automobile plant. Moskvich 3 crossover received a special modification, the company's press service reported on December 20.

Such cars are specially adapted for people with disabilities. Control is carried out with the help of special manual devices instead of traditional pedals. This allows driving without using legs.

As the representatives of the automobile plant noted, the peculiarity of the project is that the installation of the manual control system takes place directly on the assembly line. The cars have already been certified and will go into mass production in the first quarter of 2025. "Moskvich 3" on manual control will also have the warranty of the manufacturing plant.

The first cars will receive aond support for participants of the special military operation "Defenders of the Fatherland" to provide for heroes with severe disabilities. According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, chairman of the fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" Anna Tsivileva, the cars will be provided with special devices for loading wheelchairs.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the Moskvich automobile plant postponed the start of sales of a new seven-seat crossover with the index 8. The model is scheduled to enter the market in February 2025. November 18, Director of retail sales AG "Avilon" Ilya Petrov said that, according to his forecasts, the cost of "Moskvich 8" will range from 2.8 million to 3 million rubles depending on the configuration.
