A storage facility for vegetables will be built in Transbaikalia

It is planned to build a storage facility for vegetables in the Zabaikalsky Krai in the next five years. Such plans were announced by the head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Denis Bochkarev, the press service of the department reports on Friday, December 20.

"There are different methods of storage: seasonal, off-season and, the most expensive, winter storage. There are programs and investors ready to participate in solving this problem," the minister said, he was quoted by IA ChitaMedia.

According to Bochkarev, vegetable storage is one of the pressing problems in the region. He also expressed hope that in the next five years the situation will change.

Earlier in December it was reported that a new waste management project "Closed Space Economy" is being implemented in Transbaikalia. The goal of the program is to reduce waste disposal by 50% and recycle 25% of other types of garbage.
