The largest number of respondents prefer to organize and deliver New Year's gifts on their own: 66% do it themselves, 9% entrust this task to their parents, and 8% - to their partner. This is reported in the study of the international logistics operator SDEK, which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on December 23.

According to the analysts' study, most of the surveyed Russians start preparing for the holidays in advance: 40% - 2-3 weeks before the event, and 30% - 1-2 months in advance. Nevertheless, every fifth person postpones New Year's shopping until the last week, with 9% making decisions in the last days, right up to December 31.

Experts noted that 62% of respondents have never ordered gift delivery after December 29, while 23% have done it only once or twice. Among those who place orders late, only 4% admit to doing so annually. Although preparations for the holidays are in full swing, delivery of Christmas trees and decorations remains an infrequent phenomenon: 78% of Russians have never used such a service, and 12% have resorted to it only once on special occasions.

The approach to the choice of New Year gifts is characterized by diversity. Household goods are in first place: 59% prefer to order them. Next come sweets, as well as elite teas and coffee (30% each) and exclusive or collectible gifts (24%). Warm plaids and thermoses, along with New Year decorations for the home, are equally popular with 23% of respondents. Handmade souvenirs are chosen by 19% of respondents, experts report.

Russians are also convinced that details add uniqueness to the holiday: 38% of them would prefer to receive a postcard or a souvenir along with their order, and 28% would like to receive a gift bag with fir branches and the appropriate aroma. Some suggestions were particularly creative: 8% would choose a personal greeting from the courier, and 5% would choose music during delivery. Almost half of respondents (45%) would like to see a courier in a Santa Claus costume, 18% would prefer to receive an order on a sleigh pulled by horses or reindeer, and 15% dream of a package delivered by a smart owl.

Earlier, on December 17, psychotherapist, founder of the International Institute of Psychosomatic Health, teacher of the course "KPT" Sergei Martynov told "Izvestia" about how to set goals for the New Year. According to him, you should make a revision of your goals: whether the goals set a year ago are really important for you now and whether you should continue to strive for them. Periodically, you should filter them in order to prioritize what is really important and sacrifice what is losing its importance.
