- In St. Petersburg, a pensioner launched fireworks in a bank building on the instructions of fraudsters

In St. Petersburg, a 76-year-old pensioner gave more than 1 million rubles to fraudsters and set off fireworks in a bank branch in front of employees and visitors. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia".
The incident took place on Lunacharsky Avenue around midnight. The woman stated that she acted on the instructions of fraudsters.
She explained that she received a call from an unknown person who introduced himself as an employee of "Gosuslugi", and asked to tell him the codes from the SMS. After a while, the pensioner received a call from a person who introduced himself as an FSB employee and stated that her bank accounts had been subjected to a fraudulent attack. The next day, under the guidance of the caller, the woman went to the bank, withdrew 210 thousand rubles and transferred them to the account indicated by the attacker.
Five days later, she went to another bank and transferred another 790 thousand rubles to the dictated account, and then transferred another 105 thousand rubles from her home savings to unknown persons.
The interlocutor told the pensioner that the bank employees were involved in fraud and theft, and promised that they would soon be arrested. He then asked the woman to buy fireworks, set them on fire in the branch and take a photo.
The woman went into the bank, placed the bag of pyrotechnics on the table and set it on fire. After the volleys were heard in the room and smoke fell, the pensioner was detained by the guard.
On December 11, a source of "Izvestiya" said that a teenager in St. Petersburg beat up a pensioner and stole a ring from him. According to him, the pensioner invited the teenager to his home, where after drinking coffee the young man hit the owner of the dwelling and stole the jewelry from him. The schoolboy was detained. A criminal case was opened under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery with the use of violence"). In response to the charges, the teenager's mother stated that the pensioner had harassed her son.
