A freerider died while descending from a mountain at a ski resort in Sheregesh


In the Kemerovo region, a 30-year-old freerider died while descending from the mountain in the ski resort Sheregesh. About it on Friday, December 20, reports the SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass.
"According to preliminary data, in the afternoon of December 19, 2024, the deceased drove outside the equipped track, where, having incorrectly chosen the trajectory of movement, flipped over and hit a stone. Eyewitnesses of the incident called rescuers, who took the victim to a medical facility, where after a short time, despite the provision of qualified assistance, the man died of his injuries," the department said in a statement in its Telegram channel.
On the fact of the incident is carried out pre-investigative inspection: the circumstances and causes of the incident are established, forensic examinations are appointed.
Earlier, on January 19, it was reported that four people fell out of the cabins of the elevator at the ski resort "Stepanovo" in Dmitrov near Moscow. It was specified that the cable car cable sagged sharply, as a result of which those who were not fastened, fell from the height. A criminal case was initiated over the incident.
