The Defense Ministry showed footage of the destruction of a T-72 tank of the AFU in Kharkiv region

The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have destroyed a T-72 tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kharkiv Region. Images of the combat operation were published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 20.

The militants' tank was detected during reconnaissance by drone operators of the "West" group of troops in a forest belt. The agency specifies that the enemy tank was marching from a closed firing position to the reloading area.

"After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the tank of the AFU unit. Operational information was transmitted to the calculations of attack drones of the 20th Guards All-Armed Army of the group of troops "West"," - stated in the message.

The crew of the Ukrainian tank failed to steer the combat vehicle away from the precision strike, and as a result it was stopped.

The footage shows a series of additional drone strikes on the tank, an explosion of the combat vehicle and a fire.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of an armored fighting vehicle with AFU man power in Kharkiv region by the FPV-drone calculation of the "North" group of forces. The Defense Ministry added that the FPV drone hit was direct and hit the Ukrainian armored combat vehicle. The objective control footage shows how the strike drone struck the AFU combat vehicle.
