Moskalkova and Lubinets discussed the lists of prisoners of war and missing persons

Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova and her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Lubinets discussed the lists of prisoners of war and missing persons during a meeting on December 20.
"During a meeting with the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, they discussed the transferred lists of prisoners of war and missing persons," Moskalkova wrote in her Telegram channel.
She also noted that they discussed issues related to further humanitarian cooperation in providing assistance to civilians, locating families and mutual visits to prisoners of war.
In addition, Moskalkova said that within the framework of a joint humanitarian action with the Ukrainian side on the territory of Belarus, the commissioners for human rights exchanged 1.5 thousand Christmas packages for prisoners of war of both countries.
Earlier, on 13 December, Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that Russia had done everything on its part in the context of the idea proposed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to organize a large prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine on Christmas Eve, but had not received any positive response from Kiev.
On the same day, the Hungarian prime minister said that despite Zelensky's rejection of a cease-fire on Christmas Day and a large-scale prisoner-of-war exchange with Russia, which had agreed to it, there was still hope. Orban said there is still time before the holiday and the situation could change.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
