11 injured crew members of Volgoneft-212 discharged from hospital


All 11 injured crew members of the tanker "Volgoneft-212" have been discharged from the hospital. This was reported on December 20 by the Minister of Health of the Krasnodar region Evgeny Filippov.
"All 11 crew members injured in the wreck of the tanker in the Kerch Strait have been discharged from the city hospital of Anapa," he wrote in Telegram-channel.
Filippov added that all patients were given all necessary medical care.
Tankers Volgoneft-212 andVolgoneft-239suffered a disaster on December 15 in the Kerch Strait due to bad weather. As a result, there was a partial spill of oil products. The tankers ran aground.
Thirteen people were evacuated from the first vessel: one of them died. From the tanker "Volgoneft-239" On December 16, all 14 crew members were evacuated. Two criminal cases were initiated over the incident, one of which was reclassified as more serious because of the death of a sailor.
December 17, Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratiev said that oil products after the accident with tankers in the Kuban washed ashore dozens of kilometers from the village of Veselovka in Temryuksky district and to the village of Blagoveshchenskaya in Anapa. Kondratiev added that the two municipalities had emergency deployed operational headquarters chaired by the heads of the municipalities.
