The Americanist called Biden a record-breaking non-self-promoter

The incumbent US President Joe Biden will be the first of his predecessors to enter as the most non-self-governing head of state. Malek Dudakov, an American political scientist, pointed this out in a conversation with Izvestia on December 20.
The Wall Street Journal reported the day before, citing sources, that throughout Biden's now-past presidential term, the leader's associates provided him with special conditions - cutting back on meetings, controlling access to him - to cover up the leader's failures.
"Indeed, all four years [of the term] there have been questions about Joe Biden's cognitive state. <...> Given that he no longer has any future political career and won't have one, I don't think this story will hit the Democrats hard. Another thing is that Joe Biden will go down in the history books as probably the first president who was so unassertive in making decisions. <...> A certain record has been set," Dudakov commented.
At the same time, he emphasized that the American leader's health problems should neither be downplayed nor exaggerated. He definitely worked with a team of aides, but he also participated in decision-making, the interlocutor of the publication believes.
In addition, the political scientist added that the Democratic Party of the United States can use the argument of age against President-elect Donald Trump, he is now 78 years old, and by the end of his term he will be over 80. He will probably also make mistakes and stipulations, Dudakov admitted.
"Democrats will use this age card against him, accusing Trump of being out of his mind, with dementia, incapable of making landmark decisions," the Americanist predicted.
However, there will be problems with this rhetoric, because Trump, unlike Biden, is more active and against this background looks younger, he added. Thus, against the background of these events, the expert suggested, both Republicans and Democrats will nominate younger candidates for the next presidential election.
Earlier, July 21, US Vice President-elect from the Republican Party James David Vance noted that the incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris lied to citizens about Biden's mental abilities for four years.
Before that, on July 6, it became known that the radio host of the station WURD Andrea Loful-Sanders admitted to receiving from the White House instructions and a list of questions that could be asked to the American leader during the interview. The radio station, in turn, fired the journalist.
The 82-year-old Biden is the oldest president in the history of the United States, the state of his health regularly becomes a cause for discussion and concern among citizens. Strange behavior and frequent mistakes of the American leader make many Americans question his mental health.
