Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded singer Vladimir Presnyakov with the Order of Honor. This is reported on December 20 in a decree posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"For contribution to the development of national culture and art, many years of fruitful activity to award the Order of Honor Presnyakov Vladimir Petrovich," - stated in the decree.

In addition, the Russian leader awarded journalist Margarita Simonyan with the Order "For Services to the Fatherland" III degree for her great contribution to the development of national journalism and active participation in the preparation and conduct of socially significant events.

Order "For Services to the Fatherland" of the I degree was awarded to Olympic champion in gymnastics Larisa Latynina for her great contribution to the development and popularization of physical culture and sports.

Earlier, December 16, the head of state presented state awards to the winners of the Summer Paralympic Games in Paris. Thus, swimmers Roman Zhdanov, Andrei Kalina, Dmitry Chernyaev and Valeria Shabalina, as well as track and field athletes Andrei Vdovin, Vladimir Sviridov, Yevgeny Torsunov and Alexander Yaremchuk were awarded the Order of Honor.
