In Moscow, a man who threatened employees of a catering establishment with a grenade was detained. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk in her Telegram-channel on December 20.

She noted that the detainee demanded from the staff to issue an order previously canceled by him, the money for which was returned, and threatened with an object similar to a grenade.

"During the conversation, I took a strikeball grenade in order to frighten the manager in order to speed up the return of his order," said the offender, adding that he admits his guilt.

It is specified that at the place of residence of the detainee were found smoking accessories, electronic scales and a bag with an unknown substance.

"As the study showed, the find is a narcotic drug of vegetable origin," - explained Volk.

A criminal case has been opened against the man on the grounds of a crime under Art. 213 and Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism" and "Trafficking of narcotic drugs").

Earlier, on December 16, two local residents involved in the activities of an interregional criminal group were detained in Chelyabinsk for drug distribution. It is specified that law enforcement agencies found and seized 42 kg of mephedrone.
