Two civilians have been wounded as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on two settlements in Belgorod Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on December 20.

"In the vicinity of the village of Repyakhovka, Krasnoyaruzha district, two people were wounded as a result of a drone attack. The men received mine blast injuries and shrapnel wounds," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that one victim was hospitalized, and the second received first aid on the spot.

An FPV drone was also shot down in Shebekino. It exploded on the ground, damaging two cars with shrapnel.

Earlier in the day, Gladkov said that the AFU attacked the region in different districts. He noted that in the Shebekinsky district in the village of Balki after the arrival of a shell the windows in two private houses were blown out, roofs, fences and outbuildings were cut.

Before that, on December 18, Gladkov reported that in the Shebekinsky district of Belgorod region the AFU drones attacked two settlements, a person was injured as a result of the strikes.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
