The court in Kursk has received a petition for the arrest of Vladimir Lukin, general director of the Kursk Region Development Corporation JSC Vladimir Lukin. This was reported on December 20 in the united press service of the judicial system of the region.

"In the Leninsky district court of Kursk received the material of the IC IC of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kursk region with a petition to elect a measure of restraint in the form of detention in respect of the General Director of JSC "Kursk Region Development Corporation" Vladimir Lukin", - stated in the message of the press service in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that Lukin is accused of abuse of power.

The official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk said that in July 2023, according to preliminary data of the investigation, Lukin's organization terminated the contract with the contractor, who was building structures in the Kursk region, due to the fact that he did not fulfill the terms of the contract. Volk noted that the general contractor at the same time did not take measures to reclaim the money that had been transferred for the execution of the state contract.

From July to August 2023, the deputy director of the organization Igor Grabin on the instructions of the head concluded a contract with a second contractor, who received an advance payment for the work in the amount of 80% of the contract price. It is noted that the size and cost of the work of the previous contractor was not taken into account in the transfer of funds. In this regard, the deputy general director unreasonably financed the second contracting organization, which led to damage worth 170 million rubles.
