The State Duma has proposed a new way to fight fraudsters

Additional laws regulating loans to Russians to protect them from fraudsters are not required - they can be regulated by banking bylaws. This was stated by State Duma deputy Andrei Arefiev on Friday, December 20.
The politician added that he does not consider the additional time for reflection when issuing loans online a sufficient measure to protect against fraudsters. According to the parliamentarian, in this case it would be more correct to refuse full digitalization and issue loans only when appearing in person at the bank.
"We need to move to personal participation in loans, mortgages, buying real estate. Fraudsters are taking advantage of this digitalization, the fact that people are not sufficiently protected in it. Therefore, we should not be in a hurry to convert everything into digitalization - valuable transactions should be carried out only with the personal participation of a person," Arefiev concluded in a conversation with Lenta.Ru.
December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the year" called on all Russians to hang up if they call with suspicious offers, reports 360.ru. Thus, according to the head of state, you can protect yourself from fraudsters, reports IA Regnum.
On the same day, a lawyer, head of the Center for Law Enforcement in Moscow and Moscow region Alexander Khaminsky said that fraudsters, using New Year's Eve promotions, gain access to the bank accounts of Russians. According to Khaminskiy, the con artists call with offers to buy goods with discounts of 50% or more. Operators claim that it is necessary to free the warehouses of large retail chains from the surplus of the current assortment, mentioning those goods that Russians usually purchase as New Year gifts.
To avoid the trap of fraudsters, the specialist recommends vigilance and caution, as well as not to agree to send and receive any files from unfamiliar subscribers.
