FPV drone strike an armored vehicle with AFU troops in Kharkiv region

An FPV drone unit of the Northern Group of Forces has destroyed an armored combat vehicle with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) manpower in Kharkiv Region. Footage of objective control of the operation was published by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 20.

"The movement of an enemy armored combat vehicle (ACV), which was transporting AFU servicemen, was detected in the area of the forest belt. After analyzing the intelligence received, a decision was made to fire on the enemy's ABM," the ministry said in a statement.

The Defense Ministry added that the FPV drone's hit was direct and hit the Ukrainian BBM. The objective control footage shows the impact drone striking the AFU combat vehicle.

Earlier, on December 13, drone operators of the 1st tank regiment of the group of troops "West" in the special military operation (SMO) zone began using FPV drones with drops. The training was reported by the military themselves.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
