Rutube launched a number of projects to support media and blogosphere in new regions of Russia

The team of the Russian video hosting Rutube visited new regions of Russia - the DNR, LNR and Zaporizhzhya region - in order to launch several major projects designed to support local media and blogosphere. This is reported in the press release of the site on Friday, December 20.

The video hosting team held a number of meetings with students and young people. The presentations of the platform's capabilities were attended by more than 300 people in total, including students from the Institute of Philology and Social Communications of the LSPU, the M. Matusovsky Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts, the Quindzhi State University of Mariupol and the Priazov State Technical University, schoolchildren from the "New in Media" community, representatives of the "Young Guard", "Unarmy", the "Young South" movement and the "Movement of the First".

"We are actively working in Donbass and Novorossiya, visiting universities, where we tell the guys about the improvements of video hosting, the features of content moderation and opportunities to work on the platform for authors. We want to help kids to develop and open historical regions for the Russian blogosphere", - said Ilya Emelin, Rutube Content Director.

In addition, communication with media employees was organized. Thus, in Lugansk, Donetsk, Mariupol and Melitopol meetings with representatives of hosting were attended by more than 150 regional and federal journalists. Irina Dorokhina, director of public relations for Gazprom-Media Holding's digital assets, called the main goal of the trip media integration of the liberated regions into Russia's information space.

"We came to support local media, to tell them about the potential of the platform in working with the audience, to help them launch their channels on Rutube, to run and promote them qualitatively. Our task is to make work on the platform as comfortable and effective as possible," she added.

Also in Melitopol (Zaporizhzhya region) Rutube will open a free studio for bloggers. The corresponding agreement the platform has concluded with ANO "Danilevsky Film Studio". As the director of the department of special projects and interaction with government agencies Rutube Anton Mikhailov explained, anyone can visit the equipped studio to create their own content.

Among other things, in Zaporizhzhya region Rutube together with the regional Ministry of Culture and Zaporizhzhya News Agency will implement a multimedia project aimed at promoting the cultural and historical potential of the region. The project will consist of short videos dedicated to historical and cultural sights, places and people of Zaporizhzhya region. Both the studio and the multimedia project are planned to be launched in 2025.

As noted in the press release, during the trip to the new regions the Rutube team also took part in the strategic session "Image of the region", organized by the Tourist Information Center of Zaporizhzhya region to choose a mascot of the region. Also, video hosting servers were installed in LNR and DNR, which will facilitate the work of the site and make it more accessible to viewers.
