The Ministry of Culture and Ruviki agreed on cooperation

The Russian Ministry of Culture and the Ruviki Internet encyclopedia have agreed on long-term cooperation to popularize culture and fine arts in the country using digital technologies. The document was signed on Friday, December 20, within the framework of the International Festival "Intermuseum.Expo" by Elena Kharlamova, director of the Department of Museums and Circus Art Support, and Elena Litovchenko, deputy general director of Ruviki.
"Thanks to joint cooperation, information about cultural heritage, including information about museum objects and museum collections stored in all state, municipal and private museums of the Russian Federation will be freer and more accessible to citizens on the basis of modern telecommunication technologies," Ruvika said in a press release.
Within the first stage the Internet encyclopedia will place information about Russian museums, masterpieces and collections in the field of painting, graphics, sculpture. Further expansion of interaction on other categories of museum exhibits is planned. For the reader's convenience, all jointly created materials will be marked with an appropriate bar.
Today the State Catalog is a federal information system of accounting of objects and collections included in the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation. It contains over 71 million museum exhibits.
In November, Ruvika CEO Vladimir Medeyko said that one of the key aspects of the site's development is the use of artificial intelligence technologies. For example, the encyclopedia has already implemented the generation of answers to users' questions with the help of Yandex GPT, which makes it possible to provide information quickly and conveniently.
