Uzbekistan has put on international wanted list two suspects suspected of involvement in the attempted assassination of former head of the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Komil Allamzhonov and head of the National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP) Dmitry Li. According to the information posted on the official website of the international organization, we are talking about 36-year-old Bislan Rasaev and 31-year-old Shamil Temirkhanov.
As the Vzglyad.uz portal notes , the suspects did not arrive on the territory of Uzbekistan together. One of them illegally crossed the border between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, while the second entered through the Dostlik checkpoint. According to the investigation, the customers offered them $1.5 million for the murder of Allamozhonov and Lee.
Among the charges brought against Rasaev and Temirkhanov are illegal possession and trafficking of weapons, as well as failure to report and conceal a crime. Rasaev is also charged with illegal border crossing and smuggling: Rasaev is believed to have been involved in the illegal transportation of goods or items that could have been used to prepare the crime.
Allamzhonov was assassinated on the night of October 26 in Kibray district. As Kun.uz reported, two unknown assailants shot several times at the car where the official was sitting. The man was not injured.
