The AFU lost about 340 fighters on the Kursk direction over the day

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost about 340 servicemen in the Kursk region over the past 24 hours. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 20.

"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to up to 340 servicemen, three tanks, an armored personnel carrier, 13 armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and an electronic warfare station were destroyed," the ministry said.

In addition, the Russian army defeated various AFU formations and repelled four counterattacks near the settlements of Alexandria, Gornal and Kurilovka.

In Sumy region, the agency reports that army aviation and artillery fire hit enemy manpower and equipment.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry said that a D-30 122-millimeter towed howitzer of the Tula Guards Airborne Compound destroyed an AFU infantry unit in the border area of Kursk Region.
