The head of the Severny municipal district of Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg Yuri Kulikov went out for snow removal with a flamethrower in order to call for well-coordinated work of public utilities. This became known on December 20 from a video published on Kulikov's page in social network "VKontakte".
In the footage, the head of the municipal district appears to music and melts the snow with a flamethrower.
"Of course, we would like to remove all the snow and ice in our city with the help of this kind of flamethrower. But that's fantastic. Much more important is the well-coordinated work of public utilities and the participation of concerned citizens," he said in the video.
Then Kulikov appears on the footage with a shovel and says that the employees of the district municipality decided to support the volunteers and go on an impromptu subbotnik.
The video gained a lot of positive comments from users.
Earlier, on November 7, it was reported that on the streets of St. Petersburg appeared digital system of automatic monitoring for winter cleaning. The system records the state of the streets before and after the work of cleaning equipment with the help of cameras of the complex "Safe City". The images allow specialists to promptly identify cleaning deficiencies.
