In Sochi after heavy rain, the number of landslides rose to 29

The number of landslides in Sochi due to severe weather has increased to 29. This was reported on December 20 on the website of the administration of Sochi.

"As a result of a powerful downpour on December 17 in Sochi recorded 29 landslide processes only on the roads. Most landslide sites, where under the influence of bad weather activated soils, managed to stabilize", - said the head of Sochi Andrey Proshunin.

He also noted that the emergency services are eliminating the consequences of the incident, as well as assessing the damage from the disaster.

Earlier, on December 18, Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin said that in three districts of Sochi will introduce a state of emergency after the landslide.

Landslides in Sochi occurred earlier in the day. Because of the elements in the city there was a flood, destroyed several houses, damaged the railway infrastructure. The administration of Sochi reported that no one was injured.
