A doctor has spoken out about the risks of bowel cancer

There is a common belief that cancer does not show any symptoms in the early stages. However, this is not always true: the manifestations can be different for each person. Professor, Dr. Pavel Koposov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Oncology at the European Medical Center (EMC), told Izvestia on December 21 about the risks of colorectal cancer.
"The first signs of colon cancer are alternating constipation and diarrhea, bloody discharge. If a person has noticed any one or more of these signs, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible," notes Kolosov.
According to him, an important role is also played by family history. If any of the blood relatives had colon cancer, it is important to do a colonoscopy every two years from the age of 40.
According to the specialist, colorectal cancer is in second place in the prevalence of cancer in both sexes. In women, the antitope is headed by breast cancer, and in men, depending on the country - lung or prostate cancer.
"People with a history of Crohn's disease and colonic diverticulosis are primarily at risk. Predisposed to colon cancer and those who eat a lot of processed meat and semi-finished products - sausages, sausages, etc.," - summarized Kolosov.
Earlier, on December 4, Suna Isakova, a medical oncologist at the SberZdorovye medical company, told Izvestia about the symptoms of oral cancer. According to her, before normal cells develop into malignant cells, precancerous conditions can form on the mucosa - red and white foci, which later transform into a tumor.
