The level of trust in Russian President Vladimir Putin among fellow citizens over the past week amounted to 78.9%. This follows on Friday, December 20, from the data of the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research(VTsIOM).

The index of approval of the activity of the head of state amounted to 76.0%. Meanwhile, the levels of positive assessment of the work of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Russian government last week amounted to 51.9% and 49.7%, respectively.

At the same time, 61.2% said they trusted Mishustin, 33.4% - the leader of the Communist Party of Russia (CPRF) Gennady Zyuganov, 28.6% - the head of the Just Russia party Sergei Mironov, and 22% - the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) Leonid Slutsky.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted back in early July that the high level of support for Putin among Russians was due to the results of his daily responsible work.
