McGregor advised to get all Americans out of Ukraine for the sake of negotiations

In order to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible, it is necessary to remove all Americans from its territory. This was stated by the former adviser to the Pentagon chief, Colonel Douglas McGregor, in an interview with Andrew Napolitano published on the Youtube channel Judging Freedom on December 20.
According to McGregor, the quickest way to end the conflict is to stop supplying military aid to Ukraine.
"Second, all Americans, in uniform or not, should be pulled out of Ukraine," he said.
The former Pentagon adviser expressed the opinion that without US support, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not be able to continue military operations, so the withdrawal of US aid will open the way for negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the "Results of the Year" that what is needed in Ukraine is not a ceasefire, but a long-term peace with guarantees. The Russian leader pointed out that the truce allows the enemy to retrain its manpower and entrench itself in positions.
He also noted that the Russian Federation is ready to conduct a dialog on Ukraine without preconditions, but on the basis of the Istanbul agreements and realities on the ground. The Russian side is ready to sign peace agreements with any legitimate authorities in Kiev, but the current Ukrainian authorities are illegitimate, Putin said.
First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexei Chepa on December 19, commenting on the words about the completion of special envoy and advisor to President-elect Donald Trump on Ukraine Keith Kellogg, noted that the plans of the former White House chief to end the conflict in Ukraine by the end of the year are unrealistic.
On December 13, Kellogg admitted the end of the conflict in Ukraine in the coming months. According to him, the President-elect of the United States is capable of decisive actions to resolve conflicts.
Earlier, on December 3, Kellogg 's "Kellogg's Plan" written in April for the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict was published. According to the special envoy, it is necessary to stop political isolation of Russia, putting pressure on Moscow and Kiev, and to start stimulating peaceful settlement more actively. Kellogg proposed the preservation of the liberated territories of the Russian Federation, the easing of sanctions and the normalization of relations with the United States.
Before that, on November 29, the Foreign Intelligence Service pointed to NATO's desire to freeze the conflict in Ukraine to restore the AFU. It was noted that the West may plan to use this to restore the Ukrainian army and prepare for a future offensive.
The last round of talks took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4 of the same year, the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the impossibility of holding talks with Putin was put into effect.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
