In Primorsky Krai, the court sentenced a man to eight years in a strict regime colony for the murder of a child in 1993. This was reported on December 20 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the region.

"The evidence collected by investigators of the Investigative Committee of the ICR in Primorsky Krai is recognized by the court as sufficient for the conviction of a 49-year-old man for committing the murder of an 11-year-old boy in the village of Khorol", - specified in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

It is established that in October 1993 in the forest area in the village of Khorol during a quarrel the man strangled a boy known to him. At the time of the crime, the defendant was 18 years old and worked as a watchman at a state farm.

The criminal case was investigated under paragraph "e" of Article 102 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR ("Intentional murder with the purpose of concealing another crime"). The man was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment in a strict regime colony.

The investigation noted that according to the conclusion of forensic psychiatric examination, the accused at the time of the murder and at present does not suffer from chronic mental illnesses, gives an account of his actions and can lead them.

On the eve, December 19, it was reported that the court in Krasnoyarsk sentenced to 17 years in prison a man who committed 26 years ago a high-profile murder of a family with a child. Investigators found out that the perpetrator owed a large sum in 1998 to his acquaintance. Not wanting to repay the debt, he shot the couple and their young daughter with a hunting rifle.
