Air defense forces eliminated 36 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over Russian regions

The air defense forces eliminated 36 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight over Russian regions. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 20.

"On-duty air defense means intercepted and destroyed 36 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. 16 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Krasnodar region, 14 - over the waters of the Black Sea, five - over the territory of the Bryansk region and one - over the territory of the Belgorod region", - stated in the message in Telegram-channel.

Earlier in the day, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported the destruction of two AFU drones over the region. According to him, as a result of the Ukrainian attack there are no casualties and destruction, emergency services are working on the site.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
