Ground rescue team arrived in the area of search for the An-2 missing in Kamchatka

The ground group of rescuers sent to search for the missing An-2 airplane in Kamchatka continues to work. This was reported on December 20 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"According to weather conditions from the city of Yelizovo planned departure of helicopter Mi-8 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia with personnel of the Kamchatka rescue center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia on board", - stated in the message of the press service in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that in addition, there is a Mi-8 helicopter in the village of Ossora, ready to fly to the search site, if weather conditions allow. Also from the village of Milkovo earlier flew a helicopter with rescuers from the regional search and rescue base (RPSB).

The disappearance of the An-2 airplane became known earlier on December 19. Minister of Emergency Situations of Kamchatka Territory Sergey Lebedev reported about the beginning of the rescue operation. At the same time, the Eastern Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation noted that in Kamchatka began an investigation into the fact of an aviation accident with the aircraft An-2.

Later in the day Lebedev said that the aircraft received a signal of emergency landing. The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region specified that on board the aircraft was 800 kg of commercial cargo, two crew members and one passenger.

At the same time it was reported that to the place of the alleged emergency landing of the plane An-2 in Kamchatka went to the ground group of rescuers.
