Putin received an invitation to Maduro's inauguration

Russia has received an invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of Nicolas Maduro. It will be held on January 10, 2025, Alexander Shchetinin, director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told Izvestia.
"On January 10, an important event will take place in Caracas - the inauguration of President Nicolas Maduro for a new term. The Russian side has been invited to the inauguration ceremony and will be represented at it at a worthy level," the diplomat said.
In accordance with established practice, invitations to the inauguration are sent on behalf of the president to his colleagues, i.e. heads of state. The final decision on who exactly will represent Russia at the ceremony has not been made yet.
The previous meeting of the presidents took place at the BRICS summit in Kazan. Also earlier in the Russian Embassy in Caracas "Izvestia" was told that the state visit of Nicolas Maduro to Russia in 2025 is being worked out through diplomatic channels.
