Putin noted the great work done by the State Duma in the fall session

On Thursday, December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin the work of the lower house of the Russian parliament.
The meeting was held in the format of a videoconference.
The Russian leader noted that the State Duma reacts vividly to the demands of the time and to what the country needs in a prompt manner.
"I want to thank you - I saw that the work is going hard. The State Duma reacts, and reacts vividly, to the demands of the time, to what we need in the operational mode," Putin said.
The head of state noted that he is in constant contact with Volodin, even on holidays.
Volodin noted during the meeting that on the instructions of the president given during the direct line, work was initiated to provide Russian soldiers and officers participating in the liberation of Kursk region with the necessary means and the status of participants in the special military operation. The decision is expected to be implemented in early January.
Earlier in the day, Putin said during the "Results of the Year" that it was necessary to correct the situation with payments to fighters in the Kursk region. He also noted that the Russian Defense Ministry needs to speed up the decision on payments to the families of the captured participants of the special military operation.
