Putin congratulates actress Anastasia Vertinskaya on her jubilee

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated People's Artist of the RSFSR, actress Anastasia Vertinskaya, on her jubilee. The corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website on December 19.

Putin noted the talent and expressive acting works of Vertinskaya.

"You have written bright, unforgettable lines in the history of Russian theater art and cinematography," the message reads.

The President noted that Vertinskaya has earned the recognition of colleagues and sincere love of the audience, and wished her health.

Anastasia Vertinskaya celebrates her 80th anniversary this day. She became known throughout the country after the movie "Scarlet Sails" directed by Alexander Ptushko. Professional artist felt herself in the Moscow Art Theater, where she played more than ten roles. In the movie Vertinskaya appeared about 30 times, and half of the roles were major.
