Russians told about desired New Year's gifts

The majority of Russians surveyed would like to receive money (32% of answers) and smartphones (21% of answers) for the New Year. This follows from the results of a survey by analysts of the fintech company YuMoneu, which were read by Izvestia on December 20.

In addition, 11% dream of a bride or groom, and 10% dream of health. 4% each dream of travel, the same number of people want to receive as a gift headphones, jewelry and perfume, 2% - books and records, and 1% - a hair dryer.

Mostly respondents prepare gifts for parents (52%), children (40%) and for the second half (45%). Many also give something to friends (31%), themselves (28%) and their pets (15%). Only 9% plan to give gifts to colleagues, and 4% - to neighbors.

The experts also found out that more than half of respondents (51%) have not yet bought gifts for the New Year. Another 33% are in the process, and the remaining 16% have already bought everything.

Among the most popular gifts prepared by respondents for their relatives and friends are money (32%), smartphones (17%), perfume (15%) and jewelry (14%). Books, records and other similar goods accounted for 8% of responses, another 8% of respondents will give their loved ones headphones, and 4% - travel.

Most respondents are going to spend Br5 thousand (25%) and from Br5 thousand to Br10 thousand (27%) on gifts. Another 19% plan to allocate from Br15 thousand to Br25 thousand, 6% - from Br30 thousand to Br40 thousand, 4% - from Br40 thousand to Br50 thousand, 2% - from Br55 thousand to Br70 thousand and from Br80 thousand to Br100 thousand, and 3% - more than Br100 thousand. In addition, 7% of respondents said that they make gifts with their own hands, while the rest do not know how much they'll spend.
