A pensioner from the DNR who appealed to Putin has had his pension recalculated

A pensioner from Donetsk who applied to the direct line of Russian President Vladimir Putin has had his insurance pension recalculated. This was reported to Izvestia on December 19 by Galina Lysyuk, deputy manager of the Social Fund's office in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

She specified that the interdepartmental commission has already confirmed the length of service of the man, who could not receive a pension because he lost his labor book in a fire.

The insurance pension of the DNR resident was recalculated, Lysyuk noted.

"From January 2025 Leonid Nikolaevich will receive a pension already in the revised amount," - said the Deputy Manager of the Social Fund office.

Earlier in the day, Putin during the "Results of the year", responding to the appeal of a pensioner from Donetsk, who can not receive a pension because he lost his work record book in a fire, instructed the leadership of the DNR to speed up the process.

The head of the region, Denis Pushilin, promised to fulfill the head of state's instruction. He noted that the Social Fund and participants of the interdepartmental commission should solve such issues in the first place.

Before that, on November 30, Putin signed the law on the budget of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for 2025-2027, according to which the social pension will be indexed by 14.75%. After indexation, its size will be 15,456 rubles on April 1, 2025. In addition, insurance pensions will be increased by 7.3% on January 1, 2025.

November 24, President signed a law to increase the period of payment of funded pensions in 2025 to 22.5 years. The law will come into force on January 1, 2025. At the same time, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab said that in Russia from January 1, 2025 will increase pensions for working and non-working citizens of the country.
