Murashko instructed to report weekly on the situation with vital drugs

Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko has instructed Roszdravnadzor to monitor the situation with the provision of medical institutions and pharmacies with vital drugs, including saline solution and insulin, on a weekly basis. This was reported on December 19 by the assistant to the Minister Alexei Kuznetsov.

"Murashko instructed Roszdravnadzor to ensure constant monitoring of the provision of the medical and pharmacy network of the regions with vital drugs, including saline, insulins, drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular and oncological diseases, including for preferential categories of citizens, and weekly report on the situation to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade," Kuznetsov said, his words quoted by TASS.

He pointed out that the selling prices for saline solution have already been re-registered. To date, the registered prices cover the justified costs of the pharmaceutical industry, based on this, there are no difficulties for the production and supply of the drug in the required quantities.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted to reports of insulin shortage in a number of regions during the "Results of the year. Thus, a resident of Neftekamsk in Bashkiria, Rashida Gayutdinova, reported about the inability to get insulin for four months neither in the hospital nor in the pharmacy. The head of state said that the money for all these drugs is allocated in full, and the issue of organizing tenders and timely decision-making should be raised further. Later, the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan told "Izvestia" that there are 270 packs of insulin in the pharmacies of Neftekamsk for provision of privileged categories of citizens.

In addition, during the same event, Putin noted that previously pharmacology was developed mainly with the support of the state and the federal budget, but now pharmaceutical companies have begun to invest their own resources, amounting to tens of billions of rubles. He noted that there is a program for the development of pharmacology, which is included in the project of technological leadership. It is expected that by 2030 the Russian Federation should reach 90% of the provision of its own drugs, and 40% for medical devices.

On the same day, the Governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin instructed the Ministry of Health of the region to deal with the problems in the organization of timely issuance of discounted drugs in the region. In addition, the governor of the region instructed to conduct a detailed analysis and inspection of the organization that dispenses discounted drugs throughout the region.
