On Wednesday, December 18, Western ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles struck the Kamensky Combine enterprise in Rostov Region from the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, December 19.

Six ATACMS operational-tactical missiles and four Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles were used for the attack.

"During the anti-missile battle, combat crews of the S-400, Buk-M3 air defense missile systems and the Pantsir air defense missile and cannon system shot down all ATACMS missiles and three of the four Storm Shadow missiles," the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

One cruise missile was deflected from the object of attack and fell on the territory of the industrial plant, damaging a technical building.

It is noted that these actions on the part of Ukraine will not go unanswered.

Earlier in the day, the Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar said that during the attack of the region by the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) because of the fall of fragments of a drone injured one person. Before that, he said that an oil products plant caught fire in Novoshakhtinsk after the Ukrainian attack.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
