Russian President Vladimir Putin said on December 19 during "Results of the Year" that he treats Russia as his family.

"This is such a complex issue. You know, Russia is, of course <...> first of all, like any country - it is a huge territory. But it is not only territory: it is history, culture, our customs and traditions, it is all Russia. But the most important thing is people," the head of state said.

Putin added that when he sees the successes and achievements of Russians, he rejoices as he would rejoice at the successes of his family members.

"Without any exaggeration - I look and rejoice as if they were my close people. So I look at Russia as a family," he shared.

Earlier, on December 9, Putin said that no one will be able to break and conquer Russia. According to him, unity and the will to win are inherent in the national character of citizens and millions of Russians are eager to contribute to the common cause of the state.
