The Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan declared the availability of insulin in Neftekamsk

The Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan on Thursday, December 19, stated that in pharmacies of Neftekamsk for provision of privileged categories of citizens for today there are 270 packs of insulin.

"As a whole in the republic there are 46,368 packages of insulin preparations of various names, of which 36,656 packages are available to provide federal beneficiaries, 9712 for regional beneficiaries. The drugs can be distributed among pharmacies according to the need," the ministry told "Izvestia".

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted to reports of insulin shortages in a number of Russian regions, including Bashkiria, during the "Results of the Year". Rashida Gayutdinova, a resident of Neftekamsk, reported that she had been unable to get insulin for four months either in a hospital or in a pharmacy.
