From January 1, the cost of technical inspection for owners of passenger cars will increase by 7.3-7.5%. New tariffs have already been approved in most regions of Russia, "Kommersant" reported on December 19.

Thus, on average, technical inspection will rise in price in most regions from 1021-1022 rubles to 1097-1098 rubles. The highest cost of the procedure - more than Br1.5 thousand - will be in Krasnodar Krai and Amur region, as well as in the Nenets Autonomous District. The most economical tariff is set in Ivanovo and Kemerovo regions, as well as in the LNR - less than Br1 thousand.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, 70% of operators illegally sell diagnostic cards without the actual inspection of cars, so they don't care about the official tariff in the region. According to the head of the union "Tehexpert," Sergei Zaitsev, the current tariff does not cover the real costs of inspection operators.

Since 2021, individuals - owners of passenger cars - are obliged to undergo technical inspection in case of registration and re-registration of cars older than four years, as well as when making changes to their design.
