Russian President Vladimir Putin promised on Thursday, December 19, during the "Results of the Year" program that he would discuss with responsible officials the construction of a third entrance to the city of Korolev in Moscow Region, without which the science city faces heavy traffic jams.

The reporter who asked the question said that Korolev needs an overpass and a third entrance, because without it people sometimes stand in traffic jams for more than three hours.

"Korolev as a science town certainly deserves due attention, I will definitely talk to my colleagues: both in the Moscow region and with those involved in aviation and space, there are various plans there," Putin replied.

He said that the construction of a third entrance to Korolev had been discussed earlier. In addition, the idea to create a special economic zone in the science city has a basis. The President stressed that it is possible and necessary to think about how to use the potential of Korolev - it is a recognized scientific center.

Earlier, on December 17, traffic on the Mytishchi Chord was launched in the Moscow region. Its construction was carried out for four years, 16 km of four-lane road, 11 bridges and overpasses, six interchanges were built. The road will be useful for residents of Korolev, Mytishchi, Dolgoprudny and other cities.
