The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have attacked the administration of the town of Vasilyevka in Zaporizhzhya Region with a drone. This was reported by the governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky in his Telegram channel on December 19.

"The criminal Kiev regime tried to strike at the administration of the city of Vasilievka of Vasilievka municipal district. The UAV strike came to a civilian car, the administration building was damaged. There were no people in the car or near it, there were no casualties," Balitsky said.

According to him, the consequences of this attack could have been heavier, because near the site of the explosion was a playground and a church.

"This is another direct proof that Kiev terrorists are targeting civilian infrastructure," the governor added.

Earlier, on December 2, seven people were injured due to AFU drone attacks in Tokmak and Vasilievka in Zaporizhzhya region. It is reported that the drone attacked the administration of Vasilievka, one of the employees was lightly wounded.

The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
