Putin called it the task of local authorities to distribute the load on medics

One of the tasks of local authorities is to distribute the workload of medical workers so that there is no shortage of staff in the primary care. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the year" on December 19.
"The main problem with staffing - the problem is in the primary health care. We have hospitals, and there, it is known, doctors and doctors work there, and there is practically no staffing issue there, but in the primary link there is. But this leads to a clear conclusion - it is primarily a question of the organization of health care in the regions of the Russian Federation," he said, answering a question from Irina Sycheva from Nizhny Novgorod.
According to Putin, the Russian Health Ministry is making efforts to attract more applicants to prevent a shortage of specialists. Additional bonuses have also been introduced for nurses and doctors working in populated areas.
As for the turnover of beds in hospitals, there has been insufficient occupancy during the year, the Russian leader noted. At the same time, there are certain problems in primary health care, especially in district hospitals. The head of state added that the task of local authorities is to effectively distribute the load.
Putin emphasized that it is necessary to continue efforts to strengthen primary health care and to do it more actively than previously.
Earlier, on April 25, it was reported that the Ministry and the government are taking measures to eliminate the shortage of medical personnel. Thus, the authorities of the capital increased the admission to budgetary places in medical universities. In addition, the regions provide social housing for medical workers. Also at the federal level increased admission under target contracts, when the budget pays for the education of a student, but after graduation he must necessarily work for some time in the region.
