Putin called a sense of responsibility the main guideline in raising children

A sense of responsibility for the future and homeland is the main guideline in the upbringing of children. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 19, answering a question from blogger Vlad A4 during the "Results of the Year" about what values should be promoted by modern opinion leaders.
The head of state also noted that he considers parenting advice to be useless.
"Responsibility to the child, to his future and to the country where your child will live, this sense of responsibility will orient you even better than I will," Putin said.
Earlier, on November 21, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking about his understanding of patriotism, noted that this feeling consists of love for the Motherland, as well as for one's family, home, work, relatives, and respect for elders.
In October, Putin called for patriotic education of schoolchildren to be conducted in a "lucid manner, but without overkill." He also emphasized that parents should explain and instill such basic things in their children at an early age.
The direct line with Vladimir Putin in 2024 is combined with a press conference for the media. The format called "Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin" allows the president to convey his position not only on citizens' issues, but also on the state and world agenda, which is often asked by journalists.
Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have also received invitations to the events. As of the morning of December 19, the number of requests sent to the direct line with the president exceeded 2 million.
The first live broadcast took place in December 2001. By the President's own admission, this event is the most powerful sociological poll, which allows citizens to convey their position and assessment of the country's leadership.
