The Ufa submarine was welcomed in Vladivostok after a year-long voyage from the Baltic Sea

The diesel-electric submarine Ufa and the rescue tug Alatau have completed their inter-fleet transfer from the Baltic to the Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok. The solemn welcoming ceremony took place at the pier of the submarine connection of the Primorsky Flotilla of Diverse Forces.

The press service of the Pacific Fleet toldPrimaMedia news agency that the awards were presented to the distinguished sailors by the Commander of the flotilla Rear Admiral Alexey Sysuev. Traditionally, he handed the crew a roasted piglet as a symbol of recognition and gratitude.

According to the Talnakh Concentrator's press service, the ships traveled more than 18 thousand nautical miles while performing the tasks of the inter-fleet crossing by the southern sea route. They crossed the seas and waters of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans. The duration of the campaign was about 1 year, taking into account the fulfillment of tasks in the Mediterranean Sea.

The crews took part in the first Russian-Indonesian naval exercise "Orruda-2024". They will continue performing tasks after a short rest and resupply.

Earlier, on December 10, it was reported that a detachment of Pacific Fleet ships completed a program of business call in the Chinese port of Qingdao. The Russian Defense Ministry said that for several days the crews took part in sports and cultural events. The commanders of the ships also held meetings with the Qingdao administration and representatives of the Northern Fleet Command of the People's Liberation Army of China. After leaving the port, the group of ships set a course for the main base of the Pacific Fleet - the city of Vladivostok.
