Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the "Results of the Year" that the authorities have a program for the development of the Internet and communications in the regions of the Russian Federation.

"We have a program for the development of the Internet, high-speed Internet, the development of communication in general, in this connection the development of satellite constellation and so on. <...> All this will certainly be done. We have, I won't say now, they are widely known. These data are open," the president said, responding to a request from a journalist from Chukotka to solve the problem with the Internet, as the region has it only in the capital.

The journalist also noted that other residents do not get "all the charms" of the Internet, as entertainment, "Gosuservices," and banking services for businesses are inaccessible because of this problem.
