Putin says Russia-China relations are at a better stage

"We very often talk about the interaction between Russia and the People's Republic of China. Next year we celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. Over these years, a lot has happened in our relations. But in recent decades, the level and quality of relations have become such as they have never been throughout our history," the Russian leader said.

According to Putin, this is primarily due to the fact that relations between the two countries are based on mutual trust.

"Everything we do with regard to each other and how we do it is based on full trust in politics on one side and on the other," he pointed out.

He noted that in the economic sphere, the turnover between the two countries last year, according to various estimates, amounted to $220-230 billion. This is a very good indicator, and, according to forecasts, the economic growth should still increase and reach 3%. In addition, Russia and China are the most affected countries that achieved their victory during World War II through heavy losses.

"We were together then. And now we are together, and this is the most important factor, I talk about it all the time, of stability in world affairs. Such an instrument of stability was originally it, such an instrument as the United Nations was created for this purpose. Russia and China are the founders of the organization, members of the Security Council," Putin added.
