In the UK, director Christopher Nolan has been knighted

The ceremony of knighting director Christopher Nolan for his contribution to the film industry was held at Buckingham Palace on December 18. This was reported by The Independent.

The title of knight of the director was bestowed by King Charles III of Great Britain, also the title of lady was given to Nolan's wife and part-time producer Emma Thomas.

Nolan's film "Oppenheimer" won an Academy Award this year.

"It was very nice that he [the King of Britain] knew about our work, and yes, he hoped I would take it as an incentive to do more development," the director said.

According to Nolan, the king likes the director's movie work and considers it excellent.

Nolan was born on July 30, 1970 in London. He began his career in cinema with small independent films, after which he became known for his works in the genre of science fiction and thriller. Some of Nolan's most successful films are the Inception trilogy, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight: Legend Reborn, as well as Interstellar. His works are characterized by a complex plot, unconventional structure and deep philosophical and moral issues.
